Hon. Dominic Gyasi Inspects Maternity Block Construction at Wiawso Government Hospital

The Municipal Chief Executive for Sefwi Wiawso, Hon. Dominic Gyasi, inspected ongoing construction work at the maternity block of Wiawso Government Hospital on Monday, 17 August 2026.

The visit was intended to assess the progress of the project and examine the level of work completed so far.

During the inspection, Hon. Dominic Gyasi interacted with the site foreman, Mr. John Kingsford Sagoe, who briefed him on the progress of the construction and the activities currently being undertaken.

The MCE observed the different stages of the work and emphasised the need for the project to progress steadily while meeting the required construction and safety standards.

Hon. Dominic Gyasi stressed the importance of quality workmanship and timely execution. He noted that the completed maternity block would help improve maternal and newborn healthcare services for residents of the Municipality and surrounding communities.

The inspection forms part of the Municipal Assembly’s responsibility to monitor public infrastructure projects and ensure that they deliver the intended benefits to the people.
